| Empire Pets Boutique offer “gourmet” grooming. In other words, we do not work in an assembly-line style. Each pet is treated as if they were our own. Breed specific haircuts or creative.
We can do a hand scissored Poodle, Portuguese water dog or Bichon Frise; or we can do “panda” cuts even mohawks. We can even color the mohawk or the entire dog. |

| We offer weekly and bi-weekly grooming to help you take care of your dog between regular groomings. We even offer grooming for older dogs and dogs with disabilities. I have over 35 years grooming experience. I have 3 sisters in the grooming business in the Kansas City area. I (Teri) groomed and trained groomers during my 2 years in New York . We at Empire Pets want your dog to “ENJOY” their grooming experience. We make it a personal challenge to do just that. Most of the products we use are completely natural. We do not charge extra for medicated, Oatmeal, or conditioning shampoos or rinses. We like to use whatever product your pets coat and skin might need. | |

| Poodles-hand scissor, fancy patterns inluding Royal Dutch, Bare Ponjola, Town and Country and Sweetheart Cut, We even have a creation of our own which is a medium length body cut with “UGH” boots. Very stylish. | |
| Terriers are some of our favorite haircuts, because of the strong angles and extreme transformations. The Kerry Blue Terrier, the West Highland, the Airdale, and the Soft Coated Wheaton are a few. | |
| Shih Tzu’s-We groom more shih tzu’s than any other breed at the time. So they have become one of our specialties. While in New York, Teri learned some new styles for the shih tzu. One is the popular “pony trim” which leaves the legs long and fluffy while the body is relatively short. This allows the dog to wear coats and sweaters protecting the coat from the matting that usually goes along with the apparel. This “pony” cut looks very cute on Maltese, Yorkies, and Lhasa Apso’s. The other variation is the short round head we like to call the “SHIKSA” head; lovingly named after Teri’s own little Shiksa. Most of our shih tzu’s opt for this look. | |
| Bichon Frise is one breed that can have several variations of the breed specific haircut. We can do a full fluffy version that looks a lot like the show cut. Most owners prefer a more practical versio, which is a little shorter on the head and body. We also do a “tomboy” version of the Bichon cut which is very cute, for those bichon’s that secretly wish they were Labrador retrievers | |
